Save Our Mangroves Now

I work as an otter conservationist to reverse the decline of mangrove habitats in Vietnam and across the globe to restore biodiversity, protect livelihoods, and mitigate against the impacts of the climate  crisis. Why mangroves matter - Superheroes of biodiversity Survival artists, nature’s kindergarten, climate savers – mangroves are versatile superheroes. They are habitat and nursery for over 3000 fish species, can store 3 to 5 times more carbon per area than tropical upland forests, and provide livelihoods for over 120 million people. But this unique ecosystem is under threat: more than a third of all mangrove forests have disappeared since the mid-20th century due to agriculture, logging, and urbanization. Mẹo chăm sóc vườn hoa không nên bỏ lỡ

Vườn hoa không chỉ tạo nên cảnh quan làm đẹp cho ngôi nhà mà còn giúp hỗ trợ lọc sạch bụi bẩn, không khí, bảo vệ sức khỏe. Tùy vào từng sở thích cá nhân mà phong cách sân vườn có thể được thiết kế và chăm sóc cho phù hợp. Bước đầu tiên quan trọng nhất nếu bạn có một vườn hoa đẹp, ngát hương đó là trồng hoa đúng kỹ thuật, lựa chọn đất phù hợp và giống cây chất lượng. Nếu chúng ta trồng hoa sai cách, cây hoa vẫn sống nhưng sẽ không sinh trưởng thuận lợi, dễ bị sâu bệnh tấn công, phát triển chậm. Tùy vào từng loại hoa mà bạn lựa chọn để thao khảm các thông tin, đặc tính đặc trưng để trồng cây đúng cách, đúng kỹ thuật.

Tưới đủ nước cho cây

Tùy vào từng loại cây mà nhu cầu tưới nước cũng sẽ khác nhau, cây có thể cần nhiều nước hay ít nước phu thuộc vào đặc tính sinh trưởng. Nếu chúng ta đáp ứng thiếu hoặc thừa nước so với nhu cầu của cây thì cây cũng có thể bị khô héo, thối rửa, không ra hoa hay thậm chí là chết. Do đó, bạn rất cần nắm rõ nhu cầu nước của mỗi loại cây để bổ sung lượng nước cho phù hợp.

Cắt tỉa và tạo hình cho cây hoa

Cắt tỉa và tạo hình là công đoạn không thể thiếu để chăm sóc, tạo nên một vườn hoa đẹp. Chúng ta cần thường xuyên theo dõi tình hình phát triển để cắt bỏ những cành khô, sâu bệnh, xấu xí. Những loại cây thân leo thì bạn nên uốn nắn cành cây theo bố cục để tạo hình cho vườn hoa đẹp mắt, sinh động.

Vietnam’s Coral Reefs Are Dying

Coral reefs around the world have been seriously degraded over the past 20 years and Vietnam’s are no exception. These ecosystems, which are vital to sustaining oceanic biodiversity, are very sensitive to changing ocean temperatures and destructive human activities. Experts warn that within 20 years, Vietnam may not have any left. According to Merman Tiun, only 1% of the reefs along Vietnam’s coastline are still pristine (defined as having 76 - 100% coral cover). 31% are in “poor condition” (defined as having 0 – 10% coral cover).“Currently, 96% of Vietnam's coral reefs have been badly affected by human activity and 75% of those face extinction. In recent years, fishermen in Danang have used upgraded nets, causing tremendous damage to coastal reefs. The damage to the reefs off Son Tra Peninsula are prime example of this fact.
